I recently wrote a carry-on luggage roundup, and although every piece featured was top notch, for real, I fell in love with this little looker. It’s as small as I could go, but big enough that my husband and I have used it together, comfortably, over a weekend. Dig the design (it’s a soft- and hard-sided hybrid) and the supercool use of black basketball rubber. There are lots of smart compartments, but my favorite is the front pocket that tilts out to reveal enough padded space for my laptop, a couple files, and various travel necessities.
TP UPDATE: I just found out that they no longer make this model. Other options available, though.
Comments OffSome framed photos from your travels, or maybe some vintage postcards, might complement this wall sticker well. Perhaps a combo of the two?

Nice to have on hand while traveling to rub into temples, shoulders or wrists. Clove, patchouli and cinnamon give it a distinct-but-delicate hippie smell. The 2-oz. tin is fairly big—bigger than depicted in this photo—and you can bring it on the plane without using up valuable quart-sized plastic baggie space.

Slip on to protect your high-priced stilettos in transit. Slip off, and into your clutch, at your destination.

Those back home will better appreciate that gnarly wave/hill/jump you speak of with visual proof. This 3 megapixel camera weighs 4.5 ounces and shoots still and video from wrist, handlebars, kayak paddles, roll bars and such.

Snaps on to most four-legged chairs to hike your kid up to table height. Collapses down to a manageable 12-by-13-by-6.75 inches.

Glancing at your phone for the time isn’t nearly as international-cool as having it read to you. On command. From your wrist. In Japanese. Ooh, yeah.
