Cocktail umbrellas

Cocktail umbrellas
BEACH WEEK 2008
Last year, my friend and her husband skipped their yearly trip to Mexico and visited us in Minnesota instead. We rigged up a piñata in the living room and made Mai Tais topped with cocktail umbrellas. With this boxful, you could make every beverage from here until spring feel like a tropical vacation.

TrustyPony Mai Tais
1 oz. light rum
1 oz. dark rum
.5 oz. orange curacao
.5 oz. amaretto
splash Rose’s lime
splash pineapple juice

Shake together and serve over ice. Garnish with fresh fruit and a cocktail umbrella. Bendy straws are nice, too.

These could have the power to snap you out of Black Sunglasses Land. Why not? The price is right. For the record, I’m very much embracing my white pair.

BEACH WEEK 2008
No more messing with your blanket every swift ocean breeze. The corners have grommets to accept stakes, the backing’s sand-resistant, and the whole thing folds into an attached drawstring pouch. Easy like the beach should be.

A roomy, durable beach bag that’s seen way more water time than you have. The rope handles lock the theme down.

BEACH WEEK 2008
Dude. It’s flippin’ cold here in Minnesota. In an effort to a) help those of you lucky enough to have a warm-weather getaway on the horizon, b) help those of you wistfully prepping for summer and c) keep myself sane, I declare it Beach Week here at TrustyPony. The first annual. Woo-hoo!

To kick things off, I offer these new pouches, designed to protect your electronics from sand and water, submersible to nine feet. This particular model includes waterproof ear buds.
