Comments OffI know, I know. Money’s tight. For many, it’s hard enough to come up with the cash to take a vacation, let alone buy stuff to help enjoy it. I’m sure that was the impetus behind Travel Gear Blog’s 50 Gifts Under $50 post. Present + cheap = an exception, right? Such peace of mind knowing that if you get your hoodie filthy hauling campfire wood, a cleaner, plaid-er version is just two sleeve manipulations away.

Thumbs up to the two of you knocking about in your tent in the middle of the woods. Thumbs down to your sleeping pads following suit.

You knew it was coming, didn’t you? Give the detachable solar panel a good eight hours in the sun, then hang it inside your tent for eight hours of LED illumination at night.

You’re staring at the campfire anyway. Might as well add one more mesmerizing dimension. I swear this is the exact brand and label design of the tin kept on our brick fireplace mantle when I was a kid. Always worth the begging required to get Dad to break it out.

Flat, it’s a flexible cutting board or trivet that easily slips into your pack. Unfurled, it’s a bowl that can withstand temps up to 300 degrees. Snuggles into the X-Plate to form a set. (The X-Mug will be out in the spring.)

Introduce them to the beauty of multitasking travel goods at an early age: The microbead head and chenille body make it a stuffed animal and a pillow. Unzips to produce a washable fleece blankey, too.
