Next up: A selection of magnetic travel games, for kids of all ages. You’ll get the backgammon game pictured above, as well as sudoku, hangman, bingo and dominoes, plus another that features dinosaurs. It’s good to limit screen-time, maybe get some friendly back-seat interaction going on, no?

i could make a great gift of this travel game.
did you really put a map on your dining room wall?? how cool is that?
did you know that when we moved back to MN in the late 70’s my brother’s room had one wall that was a giant nat’l geographic map. we spent hours and hours looking at it and making up games with it. Every kid should have one.
I bet my brother aced the geography quizzes at school -
Very cool. A bathroom with map on all walls.
If I win this prize, the handheld Leapster 2 I just bought for my little guy is going back to the store.
My son has the car suitcase in blue. He loves it! And people have always commented on it when we travel. It has held up through multiple flights from Montana to Florida to NYC, plus countless car trips. It’s hardy and can take a beating. Just don’t overpack it–the latches may disengage, leaving sticker books, Leapster games and crayons strewn (and that change of underwear) across the airport floor.
Love it! love, love, love the site.
Travel games are fab! And that font… niice!
Very exciting!
if i had this magnetic backgammon game, i would totally school my dad with it.
Oh, please count me in. Looks like a fun way to pass time on long flights.
This would be awesome for my Aspen vaca!
Would love to win! Thanks!
What a great giveaway! Count me in! My sis & I are flying to China in December… So I’m thinking we’ll be needing this for our 1090237152 hr plane ride!
Love the travel games for the car. Can I play while I drive?
Working on Christmas Day (sad, I know). These would be a great way to help watch the time pass by ….er, I mean, teach me responsibility?
Love this site! So many creative gift ideas! LOVE LOVE LOVE THE WALL MAP!
thanks berit. love the site, very helpful, hope all is well in your world.
What a great way to keep the car clean during those long road trips! Magnets! No lost parts! Kids need to know how to play those fun classics too. Fun times.
Yep — map really is on the dining room wall, Dana… We love it, too! Certainly a conversation piece. Amity — good to know on the kids’ car suitcase. Love to hear the pros and cons of all featured items, for sure. Sounds like mostly pros on that one.
Do all of the games come in the same case? I just discovered this site today and I’m thrilled – so many ideas for holiday gifts!
enjoy your site. lots of cool links
Fantastic! Just in time for our loooong drive over the river and through the woods to Grandma’s house for Thanksgiving.
This would be great to take camping.
I love travel games. I remember playing them with my brother in the back seat of my folks’ car on those LONG LONG (3 hours) road trips!
)
I looooooooooove travel games. They are a great way to pass the time.
I want it all! Thanks TrustyPony. With you, we’re all winners.
Cool collection of games; if I win, the squabbling in the back seat might decrease on our next road trip.
These would be great to travel with . My family has been known to take a suitcase and set it up as a table to play cards on at the airport when flights have been delayed. We are always trying to find something to pass the time on the plane and at the airport and these would be a great addition to our small collection.
This may beat license plate bingo!
I’d love to add these games to my list of things to do when “Killing Time on the Road.”
Fabulous for trips away.
Beats “I Spy” any day!
nice… i love backgammon
Great game to bring while backpacking & you’re stuck in the tent because of bad weather! Nice small size, pieces are magnetic, so harder to loose among your sleeping bag & pad plus other stuff in the tent… great idea!
This would be so perfect when we travel. Nice way to entertain the kids, and still interact as a family.
An easy and convenient way to bring along a good game that doesn’t take up a lot of packing space.
Could use these backpacking.
Games + travel = fun!
oh my gosh a game that isnt electronic? I thought they gave up on making things the “old fashioned” way, I love it.
Backgammon’s my game. I’d love this. Thanks.

These would be great to use to teach locals in other countries how to play some Western games. I don’t know how useful sudoku or backgammon is at keeping children occupied
but these would also make some great gifts to give to host families while traveling.
This would help the time pass on the bus.
Ooh, this looks fun!
how perfect. I tried playing Scrabble in a van recently. The standard full-sized version, and not even the deluxe version that holds the letters in place. It was a mess, but a fun mess!
I sure could use this to keep the spouse occupied and not back seat driving all the time. LOL
Finally, a travel game that wont make noise lol
We love to play games at our house! Kids could even play in the car!
I’d love to enter if Canadians may.
This would be perfect for our next trip to Georgia!
Nice way to pass some time
I love meeting new people on flights, these games are a great ice breaker!
Great for planes, trains and automobiles!
What a welcome relief to video-game entertainment. Yes, let’s get some human interaction for our kids!
This game would be really helpful for my loooonnnggg flight back to my home country. It’s almost 24hr long!! This game would be great and keep me busy. Thanks!
We’re taking the train to DC at Christmas and this looks like the perfect game to while away the hours. It’s got plenty of variety to suit all travellers in our group, from the 8-year old to grandma and grandpa. Cool!
