With padded, easy-access compartments in all the right places, plus a decent amount of room for other travel necessities, this is a fantastic pack for photographers—or anyone who travels with an arsenal of gadgets that should be babied. Nice that it doesn’t scream “I contain expensive equipment,” either. As previously documented, I dig the handy organizational features, including memory card slots, a key clip and an exterior water bottle pouch. I’m a total geek for the handy organizational feature.

I hope the gadget fairy brings me one of these little beauties!

I’ve been looking for a new camera bag, this one looks like the ticket!
I have been using a bike messenger bag for years, but my aching back and semi-separated shoulder are telling me I need to go backpack.
Question for one and all:
When you were in school were backpacks cool? Or nerdy?
I think this is generational. Because they were definitely nerdy in my day. But now it seems there are cool backpacks and the shoulder bag isn’t so cool.
Bonus question:
Do you rock both straps? Or keep is casual with just the one?
Go ‘Pony!
Again, I have the chance to tell the tragic tale of how my telephoto snapped off the camera in the Bangkok airport when my backpack fell off the hook in the loo. Oh, the humiliation! Oh, the expense! Oh, the excellent foresight of buying travel insurance! Do I have a decent bag yet? Um, no. Oh, the idiocy.
Like another post, I have been using over the shoulder bags which can be nice for accessing equipment but my back and neck get out of whack after 4+ hours of heavy equipment off to one side. Plus all the handy compartments — anything that helps with quick and safe organization is awesome.
Nice bag! I need something a little bigger to carry my growing stock of lenses.
This looks awesome! And so practical for travelers. I could really use one of these!
This looks like a great camera bag for my husband who has asked for a new camera for the holidays!!
I have the camera, but could certainly use the handy backpack to help drag it about. That said, I’m optimistic that I’ll be traveling somewhere exotic in the near future, and will have the opportunity to take some great photos.
I need one of these suckers.
Love LowePro…great quality and smart design. How nice that it looks and feels more like a backpack than a camera bag.
Dennis — they were cool, but only with one strap worn. For sure. And Pam — cannot believe you lost a lens to a thai toilet! Why do I feel somewhat relieved by the fact that at least it was a flush toilet?
Great bag for our photography major college student…
Love the giveaway!! I would sure like to have one of those to carry around with me!
This backpack combines both of my favorite things. Computer and camera/camcorder.
Perfect for a mom who travels with 3 kids, cameras, snacks, etc.. How big is it?!
I really think that this bag would be so much more convenient than the bulky camera bag I have now. Here’s hoping I win!
[...] not me doing the giveaway this time, but if you head over to , there is a great chance to win a LowePro Fastpack 250 camera/laptop [...]
Gotta love a bag with all kinds of organizational features. I’m a sucker for pockets on everything.
As luck would have it, we just got a shiny new camera that would fit very nicely in that there bag! Very nicely indeed.
I purchased a Nikon backpack for my daughter but she rarely uses it. I believe because it’s quite stiff and not very comfortable. Hope this one is a little softer and more comfy!
Great looking bag, and it’d definitely help out on future trips!
Looks great. Nice handy size.
Nice stuff! Thanks for the contest, Happy Holidays
Does this open from the back so you can clip the waist strap, swing the bag to your front, slip off the shoulder straps and then access your gear using the bag as a table of sorts? does that make sense? Either way, great brand with usually great products.
I’ve just recently started getting in to photography. This bag looks like a great way to travel around with all my new loot!
TSA has been making my travel life more logistically complicated for years, and now the airlines have gotten in on the game — $25-50 for the first checked bag?! I’ve been looking high and low for a way to combine my laptop and camera bags, so that I can squeak by with another carry-on. It’d be awesome to have this bag while I’m out doing research in the field!
I actually live by Jeff Lowe, one of the Lowe Brothers that started Lowe Pro and would love to tell him that the VERY FINE FOLKS at trusted pony provided me with a awesome camera bag for all my photo equipment. I would even be willing to not get anything else for Christmas. Happy Holidays Everybody!!!!
I’ve been considering getting a camera backpack for years now.
While the over the shoulders are a bit unwieldy they are more easily accessible than a backpack. I think the backpacks hold a bit more and seem to be better organized.
I just got back from a business trip, and TSA had us pull ALL of our elecric equipment out of our bags instead of just our laptops. People were literally unpacking their carry-ons at Security to pull out electric razors, etc. I myself, had to pull out laptop, cords, camera, ipod, cell phone, cables, etc. and it sure would have been easier if these were all organized in my bag so that I could find them easily and put them back easily. Great idea.
That’s a nice looking pack! I could definitely use an easy and safe way to travel with gadgets, so here’s my comment!
But I have to say, any pack with a LowePro logo on it makes me assume it’s filled with expensive stuff!
I would love that pack.
This would be a great daypack to carry my electronics in Alaska for the Trail Mix Adventure Challenge in December!
I want.
I do love the organizational aspects of this bag!
Wouldn’t it be nice to have one carry along rather than two when you want to shoot pictures and upload them directly. My camera is nice but the bag is unwieldy. This one looks good.
How well would it fit a DSLR?
I’ve given up on lots of camera gadgets, and now use the simplicity of a baby digital camera. But I still have a bazillion other gadgets that I carry around with me and there is nothing finer than a pack with just as many little pockets. Looks like a fine thing!
Very nice backpack. Would make traveling with my digital SLR much more comfortable.
Perfect for my dad that seems to always have one or two digital cameras on him, plus a video camera, too… He looks like the ultimate tourist with them hanging around his neck or in the geeky black bags that scream ‘I hold lots of expensive cameras, please steal me!’
I could definitely use a new bag to haul around all of my stuff. Here’s hoping it can be this one!
Good travel backpack for business.
Oooh, that’s nice… I just got a new DSLR and I sure could use a new bag!
I have used LowePro bags in the past and they are outstanding in function and durability for everything from day hikes to more extensive treks.
The great thing about LowePro equipment is the company listens to its customers whether they work for some big magazine overseas or live on Main Street and shoot photos of flowers in the yard. Consumer input is valuable to LowePro officials and it shows.
Love that it has memory card slots. Brilliant!!!
That seems really handy. I’ve been looking for something like this.
I love Loweprp. They make great carrying cases. Hopefully the pony will decide to award me with one.
Looks like a great pack, but I’m wondering how much additional gear will fit in the pack when the camera is inside. What is the capacity of the backpack?
I bought my first LowePro bag about 25 years ago. I still have it and still carry it with me on photo trips. Solid stuff!
Katye — check out the extra photos at Amazon to better see the pack - camera/other stuff division http://www.amazon.com/Lowepro-Fastpack-250-Red/dp/B000YIYQ5I
other technical specifics there, too, and at http://products.lowepro.com/product/Fastpack-250,2086.htm
Running through the airport with this would be a lot easier than using a shoulder bag/
I have a bike messenger bag for years but I need to go backpack. Its putting killer pressure on my shoulders.
As an adventure traveler, I’ve been looking for just this type of bag. I need to have a carry-on which is big enough to fit in precious delicate electronics (camera/ laptop/ ipod/ cords, chargers, etc.) but is also small enough to be streamlined for using as a camera bag out in the wilderness or on the streets. This one just might fit the bill!
i see it on me when i’m volunteering in the ecuadorian amazon in summer ‘09. it rocks for holding camera equipment and all the essentials for daily work and life in the jungle.
My snazzy new macbook needs a snazzy bag. And while my new computer is lighter than the old one, its still too heavy to be carting over one shoulder in my old messenger.
This looks like the perfect daypack that I’ve been seeking for 2 years! The compartments look like they would truly be functional, instead of a traditional backpack with a huge, open space with everything tossed in together. PLEASE PICK ME!
Finally, a well-thought-out electronics equipment bag with ample space and logical compartments that’s not flashy. No bold-lettered label reading, “take me!” Could definitely use one for my South American adventures.
My over-the-shoulder camera bag just doesn’t work when hiking and skiing. This would solve my problem!
This would be nice to have. Thanks.
That’s nice bag. Right now I’m rockin a one shoulder thing, but it hurts when you load it up.
Perfect dayback. I am looking at buying a DSLR camera and this would be a perfect bag to travel around with without screaming too much “I’m a tourist!!” Look at my 5lb camera strung around my neck!! Well I’ll still look like a tourist but at least I can protect my new camera better
That looks like a nice compact day bag, it looks like it should be big enough to fit a 15.4″ widescreen notebook and maybe some extra gear.
Okay, that thing looks fantastic - and a great way to get rid of the need to carry both the camera bag AND the laptop bag. Genius! Want!
Fashionable, travel safe, and tech savvy? I’ll take one!
The memory card slots are a great idea.
This is definitely something to look into further.
A perfect bag for my budding videographer son to carry both his camcorder & laptop. Maybe TrustyPony will fill in for Santa this year.
Would love to win this! Thanks for having such awesome giveaways!
I can’t count the number of times I’ve been through airport security with a laptop, camcorder and digital camera, each in their own separate bags, not to mention another backpack just to hold all of my other necessities. This would be great.
Disabled people like me need backpacks to get our stuff from here to there. We cant use our hands since they are otherwise occupied. Sure would love this one.
Looks great and doesn’t look like you are hiding expensive camera stuff.
As a buddy photographer, I would really really appreciate this
I think everyone on here appreciates the capabilities of this bag. Personally I would take it hiking.
my husband has decided that my laptop bag is his, so this would be perfect for me. laptop, camera, and other such things - this sure could make air travel more pleasant.
Just got my first laptop and this is light years ahead of the old day pack I’m using. Too, it’s perfect for my volunteer trail work to carrying my camera, pens, writing paper, first aid kit, assorted pamphlets on trail maps/use, and leashes for those day hikers who insist allowing their dogs off leash where it’s not permitted!
Way too many smart posters out there…I’m just a guy who hopes to have a new camera bag from Santa. THIS is the first step. Now….how to hack out all OTHER posts leaving me as the ONLY possible winner.
This would go great to go along with my camera
I’m in need of a camera bag to tote around my DSLR on my travels! Thanks for the giveaway!
I love all of the features this backpack has, it holds everything!, I am an amateur photographer, graphic artist and usually end up carrying 3 different bags when I leave the house. This would be just perfect!
Great bag! I’d love to win! Thanks!
This looks like a valuable asset for travel with nice equipment. We could really use one of these.
That is exactly what I need….many thanks!
That bag looks great
I’ve been REALLY good this year, Santa!
I love bags with a lot of pockets!
What a sweet bit of kit!
My friend has a great LowePro pack which I’d been drooling over. Very similar in design but can carry about double the lenses etc. Super rugged. Like many others, been in search of the perfect bag and have been disappointed with a lot of what’s out there. This looks like it’s got potential especially with the side access to the equipment so you can grab while on the go which has been my main sticking point with other bags. I’m currently trying out a shoulder bag but it gets tiring to lug after a while. My only gripe with this LowePro one is that it *appears* to not have a place to secure a tripod? I’d be surprised if that is true. Also, I wish it were waterproof but at least it’s water-resistant. I saw one that was truly waterproof built in the fashion of kayaking bags where you roll down the opening before closing. Alas, it was sold out, and of course, not exactly quick and easy access to camera while wearing it.
This is a great deal for camera gear and it doesn’t look like you are protecting expensive camera gear!
Look like a great design - enough room for everything!
Sweet bag. I love how it is understated. Very cool.
I’ve been searching for a laptop backpack for the past month, and I can tell this one is a great backpack! Thank you, this is just what I need !
Awesome bag! Camera and laptop space together in one bag is a great idea.
Yep, I need this, too! Easy to carry through the airport, looks like it fits like a glove in the overhead bins.
Just found your site - very cool. Would love to get a hold of this bag - especially free!
This website has cool stuff listed and it’s now in my fav bookmarks.
this would be perfect for trips where you need fast access to your camera but don’t want it hanging around your neck all the time!!
It would have been nice to win this before my trip to India (currently in Sawai).
I cannot BELIEVE you are giving this away! I love that it’s not a “professional” looking bag… so I don’t need to worry about people eyeing it for goods inside! And it still looks snazzy! Brilliant!
